In Real Life: Week 26

Take a peek at our week 26…

Another Verve Sunday.

Don’t be afraid to go against the grain.

A little nature in the urban world.

I’ve learned to stop feeling self-conscious when I stop to take photos of random things. People can think what they want.

Look up!

Look down!

Move it all around?

But maybe not like this. This can’t be comfortable.

I think he likes me.

I bought another succulent arrangement.

And a lavender plant. My window sill is getting pretty full!

We’ve made some pretty epic food this week. Like homemade lasagna…

…and grilled chicken fajitas…

…and a teriyaki-marinated grilled pork loin.

I am digging the summer food vibe, for sure.

I’ve also been trying to spend less time mindlessly scrolling through social media during my downtime. I’ve been doodling instead.

It makes my brain feel less foggy.

Feeling good before the madness of a 12-hour floor shift kicked in.

I logged over 14,000 steps that day.

Somebody’s having a bad day.

Loving those long evening shadows.

Seriously. The evening light is just incredible.

Nom nom phone.

We turned errand-running into a leisurely walk. Much better.

Kinda made me sad that I already had a Starbucks drink.

Getting some fresh air.

We took a little road trip down to San Luis Obispo with Daddy.

The Salinas valley looks just like the farmland of home.

Robbie came down for the fighting.

Lots of fighting.

Jack and I came for the hangs.

And the epic tri-tip.

We are definitely in the chew-on-all-the-things phase.

Also the everything-is-more-interesting-than-my-toys phase.

There was a pretty cool skate park nearby.

Jack and I were pretty entertained by watching the skaters.

Grind it, man.

These things were interesting.

Not sure what exactly they are, aside from interesting artistic sculptures.

Taking a break with Daddy.

He was such a good sport.

Nap time was short, but I enjoyed it anyway.

Looks legit to me.

Robbie has been telling me about Sylvester’s for like 3 years now. We finally got to go.

They had fry sauce. It made my Idaho heart very happy.

They also had a giant cowboy hat in Broncos colors. So of course I had to put it on.

Pretty sunset. Dirty window.

How was your week? Have a great 4th!
