In Real Life: Week 34

Happy Sunday! Here’s a peek at our week 34.

Sunday started for me by doing homework outside of the house.

There has been many much coffee consumed this week.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this graduate program, but after this week it is clear that I definitely have my work cut out for me.

I’m still figuring out my best study system, but I think part of it is going to include staying late at work at least a couple nights per week.

A view I see a lot, but not usually from this perspective. A not-so-subtle metaphor for everything.

I wanna be like this guy – still studying, even when I’m close to retirement. (Also, um, wtf with that hot pink cougar head?)

Vendor reps, take note: hospital staff will always be more receptive to your presentation if you bring food.

Downtown vibes.

It’s always a little strange to see spaces that are normally buzzing with people totally empty and quiet.

This bathroom’s walls are covered in song lyrics and drawings (per the management’s request). What would you add?

I love how much they love each other.

I bought Artemis her own cozy bed after I kept finding her hiding in the linen closet. It didn’t take her long to warm up to it (especially after I bribed her with the heating pad and some catnip).

We’ve had some chillier days this week and I had some beef to use up, so I pretended it was fall already and made stew. It felt (and tasted) so good.

James took over one of my fantasy football teams this year, and I helped him with his draft.

Don’t they both look adorable in their jerseys? I die.

The beauty that is having a child old enough to “babysit” his younger brother after bedtime combined with a good bar&grill just down the street.

“Fool’s Gold.” (Definitely recommend.)

I will always be a sucker for a live band. It’s in my DNA.

I don’t understand what this is supposed to represent, but I commend their commitment to it.

And that’s it for this week!

Honestly, I don’t know how much time I will continue to have to share these posts every week. Obviously, family, work, and grad school will always take priority, and I will admit that that may mean that this has to give. I’ll keep doing the best I can. Thanks for understanding. 🙂

Take a look into the past…
